A workable PVC panel for cabinet backs, bathroom furniture parts, dividers, partitions and decorative structures. It gives better rigidity than thin sheets while remaining lighter and more economical than a full 15mm or 18mm furniture panel.

Where Does a 10mm Sheet Work Best?

This thickness is useful when the panel needs to stay reasonably flat but does not carry a heavy load. It is not intended to replace thicker board in every cabinet component.

How should density be chosen?

0.50–0.55 g/cm³: cabinet backs, light decorative parts and projects where weight and cost are the main concerns.

0.55–0.60 g/cm³: general furniture components, partitions and laminated panels.

0.60–0.70 g/cm³: firmer panels, cleaner machining and applications requiring improved screw holding.

Density alone does not determine performance. Panel span, screw type, edge distance, surface process and finished weight should also be checked.

Why is it used in humid interiors?

• The PVC structure does not absorb water like ordinary wood-based panels.
• It contains no wood fibre, so it does not swell for the same reason as MDF or particle board.

• It can be cut, drilled, routed, painted or laminated after the processing conditions are tested.

Can 10mm PVC board be used for the whole cabinet?

It depends on the cabinet size, support and load. This thickness suits many backs and light components, while 15mm or 18mm is normally safer for main bodies, long shelves, large doors and heavy hardware.

Which density should I choose?

Many furniture buyers consider 0.50–0.70 g/cm³. Send the component drawing, load and hardware information so we can narrow the range.

Can the surface be laminated?

Yes. The board surface, film, adhesive, temperature and pressing conditions should be tested together before mass production.

Is it formaldehyde-free?

It is not a wood-fibre panel and does not use the same formaldehyde-based bonding system as conventional MDF or particle board. Send the required chemical standard if your market needs a named test.

Can different thicknesses share one container?

Mixed specifications are accepted in many cases. The combination depends on minimum production quantity, color, process and loading calculation.
