A printing company does not buy a sheet simply because it is described as printable. Its team needs to know whether the sheet fits the printer, how the finished graphic will be supported, and what happens after printing. We have updated our PVC foam board for printing product page to make those order decisions easier to discuss with our factory.

Why the Finished Sign Comes First
Two customers may both ask for a white PVC foam sheet for UV printing, yet require different boards. One may cut a full sheet into small indoor retail signs and mount every piece on a wall. Another may print an exhibition panel that has a wide unsupported span and will be moved between events. Sheet thickness alone does not describe the support, handling or finishing requirements of either job.
When discussing a printing order, we therefore ask for the finished panel size, printing method, installation method and any cutting or routing after printing. Thickness, density and sheet size can then be considered together. For jobs with demanding artwork or processing, the customer's own printer and finishing equipment should be used for a sample trial before a bulk order.
From Enquiry to a Confirmed Board Specification
The revised product guide brings the main decisions into one place. The table below shows how we use that information when preparing a quotation; it is a discussion sequence, not a promise that one specification suits every print job.
| Order step | Information from the buyer | What we can discuss or confirm |
| Describe the job | UV flatbed or screen printing, graphic mounting, finished piece dimensions, indoor or outdoor location, support and fixing method. | Which board details need attention and whether a small sample trial is appropriate. |
| Specify the sheet | Preferred thickness, density, color, full-sheet size and quantity of each specification. | Available order options and the board specification to put on the quotation. |
| Check the workflow | Ink and printer used, any adhesive film, cutting method and visible-edge requirements. | A sample of the proposed board for the customer's own printing and finishing checks. |
| Plan shipment | Quantity by item, destination, preferred trade term, packing choice and unloading conditions. | Packing cost, mixed-container feasibility and a loading arrangement for the agreed order. |
Samples Help Test the Whole Process
A blank board can look suitable on a desk and still behave differently after ink curing, film mounting, cutting or repeated handling. We can provide small samples of a proposed board; the buyer pays the courier charge. The useful test is made with the same ink or film, printer settings and finishing steps planned for production. If a trial identifies an issue, tell us the board specification and show us the result so we can review the material choice with you.
The product page covers the printing board specifications, applications and processing considerations. It also links to the individual 3mm PVC foam board and 5mm PVC foam board pages when a buyer needs to examine one thickness more closely.
Packing and Mixed Orders Also Affect the Quote
Our standard product quotation includes plastic bag packing. Cartons, pallets, protective film or special marks can be discussed and quoted separately. A full-container order can combine different agreed thicknesses and specifications; the quantity of each item is needed to check loading. Large-format sheets also need their dimensions and unloading conditions considered before the shipment plan is confirmed.
This is why we prefer an enquiry with both the printing requirements and the delivery details. It lets us quote a defined board and packing arrangement rather than a price for an unspecified "printing sheet."
Discuss Your Printing Board Order
If you are sourcing blank PVC foam board for signs, retail displays or exhibition graphics, send us the printing method, sheet and finished sizes, thickness or density target, quantity and destination. If you have not selected the board yet, a drawing of the finished display and its installation method is a useful starting point. View the complete PVC foam board printing product guide.
